From modest beginnings in 1967, the Graduate College of Social Work has grown and become a nationally recognized leader in the field. Forbes Magazine recently reported GCSW is ranked 36th nationwide for graduate social work programs.
GCSW’s offers the Master of Social Work (MSW) and Doctorate of Social Work (PhD) degrees; dual degrees in business (MSW/MBA), law (MSW/JD), and Public Health (MSW/MPH) with specializations in gerontology, health disparities, political social work, and trabajo social. GCSW students come from all walks of life, numerous states, and a number of international countries reflecting the broad racial and ethnic diversity of our greater community.
More then 3,000 individuals have received their MSW degree from GCSW. Our alumni fill critical needs in our communities helping people in all stages of life as counselors, therapists, advocates and educators as well as community organizers, program planners, policy analysts and researchers. They continue to make significant differences in their clients’ lives, help formulate just social policies, while advocating and promoting justice for all people, no matter their stage in life.
