Wall Posting Policy
6/00
General Statement
To enhance the professional appearance
of the GCSW as a professional school at the University of Houston, this Wall
Posting Policy has been established. This
policy prohibits posting of any material onto the walls of the first, second,
third, and fourth floors without signature approval from the office of the
Dean. The following procedures have been developed to enhance the appearance of
the Social Work building. This policy
is subject to modification as determined by the GCSW administration in
consultation with faculty, staff, and students.
I. Materials
of Any Nature
Nothing, other than art work(s)
appropriately framed, will be permitted to be tacked, stapled, or taped
directly onto the building walls on the first, second, third, or fourth floors,
including the elevator walls.
II. Course
Related Materials
All course related materials will be
placed on the bulletin boards in the classroom in which the course is being
offered. All course materials posted in
the classrooms will be removed at the completion of the course, or the end of
the semester in which the course is offered by the instructor of record or the
housekeeping department of the University.
III. Program Related Materials
Bulletin boards will be mounted on the
second floor wall for use by the MSW program (divided into Field Office,
Foundation Curriculum, and each of the five Concentrations), Ph.D. program,
Student Affairs, and General School Announcements. Materials to be placed on these boards must be dated and all
materials will be removed 30 days after initial posting date by staff. Job openings will be compiled and kept in a
binder in the Magner Reading Room (218).
